A belated blessed Easter to all!
Given our “special” circumstances here in the ultra-conservative kingdom (where all non-Moslem celebrations are not recognized and officially prohibited), I thought that our Easter activities would be limited to these…

These are the ten eggs we all painted as a family. I later hid these in various places in our home for the kids to find. To make it more fun and exciting for our “gremlins”, hubby and I also gave small prizes (i.e., different variants of Hershey’s Kisses) to our three ”egg hunters” - to eldest son who got the most number of eggs, to second son who painted the “most originally-designed” egg and to our diva-lette for painting her first-ever Easter egg!
Little did we know though that another “surprise” was actually in store for us on Easter evening. What we thought was just a joint dinner birthday party for our friends Doms and Cher from DFS (or Desert Fox Shooters – hubby’s photography club) turned out to be a bigger, better and more fun “Easter-themed” celebration for all of us! Heck, even the Easter Bunny made a special appearance! (For more on this, check out our friend Ann’s post here).
And here’s what the kids brought home from that “Egg-siting Easter Egg-spedition”…

I can only thank God for allowing us (especially our kids) to experience the joy of Easter even in what we thought was a “holiday-forsaken” place. Only shows that the Lord truly works in amazing ways!
May the blessings of Easter continue to renew and refresh us the whole year through!
Happy LaPiS to all!
