A hearty beach picnic…long, tall and refreshing drinks…plump, juicy fruits…freshly-picked vegetables…
These are the usual images that come to my mind whenever I think “spring and summer foodie thoughts”
And I think these photos will give you an inkling of what I mean…

It’s a bit ironic though that I actually took a photo of these veggies during winter – hahaha!

I would’ve preferred taking a photo of the salad sans the fresh orange juice so that the cut-up fruits (in this case, I used gala apples, bananas, mandarin orange wedges and strawberries) would be more visible…
Was supposed to do a “re-take” of this but couldn’t – since strawberries were unfortunately not available during my last trip to the grocery (*sigh*). Anyway, I found that this is one delicious way of making the kids eat fruits – and a variety of it, to boot!
Incidentally, bet you’d never guess where I got this recipe? While watching a presenter introduce the next show in BBC’s Cee-Beebies - hahaha!
Pardon the delayed post since I’ve been having some trouble uploading pics to this site lately…
A belated happy LaPiS to all!

uy, that’s very healthy ha! i haven’t ever tried putting together a fresh fruit salad. kasi we always end up snacking on the fruits. hee hee.
That means you don’t even have to make the salad – since you guys obviously enjoy your fruits as is! Lucky you!

beautiful photo of veggies! And yes, to get a variety of fruits into kids, making it into a salad is always a hit
Thanks, JMom!

I love taking pictures of produce in my Asian grocery. The people who work there don’t mind.:)
I’m sure they won’t, Oggi… wouldn’t risk losing one of their “sukis” after all, right? Hehehe

Go Cbeebies! Fresh fruit Salad! Yummy!!!
Thanks, Twinx! Unfortunately though, the morning programming schedule at the BBC channel in our cable seems to have changed so I’m now at a loss as to when CBeebies is – waaahhh!!!
Tama bang ako pa ang mas affected kesa kay Marga?

Wow, sarap niyan, very refreshing
Thanks, Julie! Family fave na namin itong salad na ito admittedly… and I don’t mind a bit since it’s certainly the healthier alternative to the rich, cream-based fruit salad we Pinoys are used to.

hihi…I bet the winter fruits are from brazil and the south americas! But the veggies, locally grown
Love the colors…
Para din palang KSA sa Austria – mahilig nag-import! Hahaha!
Thanks, G!
